Who Am I?

                       God, before the world began

                       You loved me into being.

                       I was in your mind;

                       I was in your heart—

                                          a heart larger than the universe.

                                The question “Why?” arises now within me.

                       I’ve come to learn from your tender mercies

                      That You, the Eternal Lover, are wooing me into loving.

                                 And so the “Who I am” is clarified.
